APT Strangulator Wrist Wrap Review

I recently received a pair of 24” apt strangulator wrist wraps from Curd Hos the owner of www.fitnesswarehouse.ca and hostyletrainingear.com and first impression were “ damn these things are stiff” I thought they were almost too stiff and was unsure if they would stretch enough for me to get a solid cast like wrap out of it. To my surprise they provide the best support and tightness I have ever experienced from a wrap.

Material:

The material is stiff and requires a considerable amount of effort to get a solid stretch out of it. But as stated before if you put the effort into it you won’t be sorry at the results they will provide.

The construction:

The way that these wraps are put together is without a doubt the best and you can tell that no steps were skipped and no expense sparred. The thumb loop is solid and will not come apart to matter how hard you pull on the wrap. And the Velcro is of superior quality. There is no way that this wrap is going to come apart during any movement you put it through.

Appearance:

Not that the look of a wrap matters all that much but nonetheless this wrap is pretty nice looking with the gray and black striping is unique to many wraps on the market today.

Performance:

Every lifter is different and every lifter has a different pain tolerance. Without saying the tighter you wrap your wrists the more support and effectiveness you will get out of the wrap. This can be said about every wrap but not for the strangulators. These wraps do not have a mild level they have aggressive and they have a level called “get them off me” These wraps will add a good 5-10 percent onto your lift right away if you are not used to wearing a stiff wrap. This is all speculation. But my experience showed an increase of about 5% right off the bat. So this wrap performs in the clutch!

This wrap and virtually all the wraps provided by APT wrist and knee wraps are of top quality and made with the lifter in mind! I recommend if you are in the market for a solid wrap that’s going to provide you with cast like support and immediate performance increase then look no further than the strangulators!
